How to get glowing skin on your big day?

wedding Your big day is approaching. There is so much to do with little time left! As you anxiously anticipate everything in its perfect place – Time, theme, gown, makeup and YOUR SKIN.

Eyes, cameras and iPhones will be on you. How can you not look perfect on that day right?

I have heard from my makeup artist friends that there are brides who had awful pimples and some had scars – and they usually request thicker coverage on their faces.

While accidents can happen, I certainly pray for your safety and beauty prior to your big day!

Have enough rest

There is nothing in the world that can restore your energy. Period. Sleep at least 6-7 hours every night. According to Elizabeth Arden, 60% of women do not have enough sleep which can lead to disturbed skin barrier functions, increased water loss from the skin and suffer a higher level of inflammatory chemicals in their body circulation.

Drink enough water

How much is enough, really? There is no formula I can provide except: Listen to your body! Do you feel thirsty? Do you have dry skin, lips and hair? The general amount is 1.8L but we are all born with different shapes and sizes right? If you’re able to drink up to 3L, then go ahead! But just don’t under or over do it. I normally drink 2L to 2.5L. Coffee doesn’t count. 😛

Eat healthy

That’s right! Eat loads of fruits, vegetables and herbs. According to Fitness Magazine, chocolates is healthy and promotes glowing skin! A good alternative to get healthy skin is to consume supplements. Premium vitamins for skin such as Aurawhite 15x Stemcell Collagen, Secret of Senrose and Satin Skinz Premium are becoming more popular for women in Singapore.

Choose the right skincare product for your skin

This isn’t the time for you to try out new products in the market. If you have to switch skincare products now, ensure you do your own research and get reviews from trusted sources like your friends and family. If you’re short of time, choose a simple, non-peeling skincare product like Wisputih Rejuvenasi. If you’re more adventurous, daring but patient type, you can opt for peeling skincare product such as AQ Chantique. I’ve tried both and got positive results!

Don’t give up

Do you feel that you’ve done everything and there’s nothing left for you? Don’t give up. The epidermis or surface layer of your skin is renewed every two to four weeks. So if you have been ‘doing it right’ but feel like forever – relax! Give your skin a break. Let it heal by itself naturally. You will get glowing skin on your big day, eventually!
