How do i handle difficult customers?

Actually customers are not difficult at all. But they tend to be when they are given choices such as:

  • Cheaper price elsewhere
  • Better packaging
  • Someone they know are selling it too
  • Someone they know are selling it cheaper
  • They can go get it by themselves

As an online seller for 4 years, I have seen all types of customers.

And there are only 2 types of customers who buy from me.

1. KLT factor

What’s KLT factor? They Know, Like and Trust me factor. There are more customers that I know, buy from me than those of complete strangers.

I found out that they like me because I sell them at a cheaper price and i always include home delivery. Besides, I dont ‘knock on their doors’ for payment.

They trust me because I never back out. I deliver on time and if there’s any delay, they are well informed.

2. Customers already know about the products I’m selling

I sell popular products that they already know about. In a way, I get less enquiries about product information – which can be troublesome, if you know what I mean.

What actually happens in the Retail World

In the retail world, nothing is perfect. I do get profit all the time but sometimes, I just dont. Accidents happen. But I always think that when they happen, it’s time for me to sit back and reflect.

Things that are totally not my fault – for example, I receive shipment in bad shape. So what do I do? I will inform them, either give something free or refund a bit of money.

Sometimes, i dont give gifts and refund at all – I repackage it so that it looks like nothing ever happened!

But that’s not the point in today’s post.

I found a nasty person today. She is a friend of a friend. My friend, Carol has been buying stuff from me for quite a while. She got pretty, slimmer and yes, she’s sexier now!

Then her friend, Margaret saw her and asked what has she been up to. So Carol spill the beans. Gave Margaret my number and she messaged me.

She was quite interested in Royal Products so i told her everything she asked for.

Unfortunately, she was just doing a price survey. So she called Carol JUST TO SAY THAT MY PRICE IS EXPENSIVE.

She said she could get it from her friend for $35.

Ok. Why didnt she buy from her friend then? Probably hers is going to be expired! Or maybe its from an old batch. Or perhaps it’s not original! God knows.

I was so pissed, I told Carol that this is the type of person who will NEVER be slim. She has so much negativity in her. I mean I could feel the negative ions flowing in my ovaries!!!

But that’s ok. Because I know, I BELIEVE that my prices are reasonable. Not too cheap until it looks dirty and not too expensive that people stay away from me.

And i always find out how much other sellers are selling. My price is ALWAYS LOWER than them.

So Margaret and all the Margaretians out there, please… if you think that you’ve found a better, cheaper, dirtier beauty food elsewhere, go get them. Don’t come to me.
